TUNE’s Online Capacity Training — Phase 2

Training on Campaigning, Dissemination and Exploitation of Research Data

The TUNE Network’s Online Training for Turning Data Into Youth Action – Phase 2 equipped participants with practical skills to analyse youth-generated data and transform it into clear messages that support advocacy and policy engagement. Building on the foundations of Phase 1, this stage focused on strengthening participants’ ability to interpret findings, craft meaningful narratives, and communicate insights to diverse audiences.

Phase 2 featured two focused sessions, where session 3 explored visual storytelling and youth-friendly communication, introducing tools and techniques for creating simple data visuals, tailoring messages, and developing short, accessible narratives. Participants practiced prototyping visual stories and reframing messages for different groups. Session 4 concentrated on strategic communication and dissemination, guiding participants through campaign planning, SMART goal-setting, stakeholder targeting, and methods for translating research into concrete action.

During the evaluation, most participants reported increased confidence in using digital tools, planning campaigns, and communicating findings, with 85% rating the structure and clarity of the workshops as very good or excellent. They particularly appreciated the practical, hands-on format and supportive learning environment. Overall, Phase 2 effectively strengthened participants’ capacity to turn data into purposeful youth action.
